Across the Obelisk is a co-op roguelite deck building RPG. Journey solo or with up to three other friends as you fight your way through the Obelisk. You start your adventure with four playable heroes, but you can unlock more as you progress through the game. Today, we’ll show you how to unlock all characters in Across the Obelisk!

Guide to Unlocking All Characters in Across the Obelisk
You begin your adventure with access to four heroes: Magnus, Andrin, Evelyn, and Reginald. Sometimes, you may come across heroes out in the Obelisk, and you must complete a quest for them before they join your cause.
Here’s a list of all unlockable heroes and how to get them in Across the Obelisk.
Heiner
In Act 1, The Kingdom of Senethia, make your way to the Crumbling Tower node. Finish Act 1, then choose the red portal. Go to The Black Forge and take out all the enemies.
Grukli
In Act 1, head to the Small Lake node to obtain a Big Fish. Finish Act 1, then pick the green portal. Make your way to the Waterfall Ledge and give the Big Fish to Grukli.
Bree
At the end of either Act 1 or 2, select the blue portal. Go to the Grove and talk to Bree to get a quest. Fight your way through to Act 4, defeat Dawn and Dusk, then take the top path to get to the Garden, where you can finish the quest.
Thuls
In Act 1, head to the Water Mill node, then finish the Act and pick the green portal. Go to the Spider Lair and take out the boss.
Sylvie
In Act 1, take the bottom path to reach the Forest Glade node. Obtain the Moonstone by either fighting or stealing, then finish the Act and pick the blue portal. Head to the Owl Guardian node and give Slyvie the Moonstone.
Gustav
Finish Act 1 and select the green portal. Go to South Pier and take the boat for 800g to Lonely Rock where you can talk to Gustav and accept his quest. Finish Act 2, then take the blue portal. Head to the Mansion, and select the [Continue] option to take the lute Gustav wanted.
Cornelius
In Act 1, head to the River Bridges node to talk to Cornelius and accept his quest. Finish Act 1, then take the red portal. Go to the Cult Temple and defeat Erekhal.
Wilbur
Finish Act 1, then select the red portal. In Act 2, head to the Rest Area to talk to Wilbur and accept his quest. Make your way to Act 4, then take the top path to reach the Library, then pick the [Continue] option.
Zek
In Act 1, head to the Main Road node, then choose the [Profane] option. Finish the fight, then receive the Jeweled Key. Finish Act 1, then select the blue portal.
In Act 2, go to the Sewer Outlet node and select either [Enter] or [Leave].
Ottis
In Act 1, go to the Isolated Chapel node and talk to Ottis and accept his quest. Take the top route to the Bandit Camp and finish the fight.
Malukah
In Act 1, head to the Suspicious Hatch. You can enter the hatch for free if Cornelius is in your party. Pick the [Combat] options inside the dungeon and defeat the boss. Finish Act 1 and select the green portal.
In Act 2, take the top path to reach the North Pier. Take the boat for 1,000g, then go to the Voodoo Hut, then pick the [Give] option.
Nezglekt
In Act 1, take the bottom path to Riverside Camp to talk to the Stargazer—if he’s not there, simply restart and try again. Pick either option for a divination, then finish Act 1 and take the red portal.
In Act 2, stay in the center and head to the Campsite. One of your party members must agree to carry the heavy package, which must go in an accessory slot.
Continue onto Act 4, then take the bottom path to reach the Airship and deliver the package.
