Collins Aerospace is looking for an experienced Associate Director Value Stream Leader. The L6 Value Stream Leader (VSL) is a strategic and tactical leader who leads the cross-functional Integrated Project Team (IPT) with direct accountability for high temperature composites (HTC) programs assigned to the Military Value Stream. You are responsible for overall program success throughout the life cycle as measured through terms and requirements of the contract, the business success as measured by key financial metrics, and the measures of customer satisfaction.
HTC is a new market to the Military Value Stream. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying business opportunities that allow Collins to grow this segment using existing products and technologies for new applications. You will establish a broader market presence to promote awareness of Collins’ capabilities and generate pursuit and business strategies when opportunities are discovered.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
What will you do:
- You will lead an IPT to develop and ensure adherence to program and business plans which include schedules and budgets for programs under assigned scope of responsibility.
- You will be accountable for the P&L of your assigned program(s).
- You will manage the timely execution and administration of the contractual commitments with your customer.
- You will lead the negotiation of new contracts and contractual changes, including coordination preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operation budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests.
- You will serve as the face of the organization to external customers as well as internally within the Company. You will need to be able to lead successfully through influence, communicate effectively with leadership both within and outside of the Company, and form new business relationships to be successful in this role.
- Responsible for presenting to senior leadership regarding HTC processes and updates.
- Ability to travel less than 10% domestically.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- 5+ years’ experience in composites or related field
- 5 or more years of experience interfacing with senior leadership
- 3 or more years of ERP software experience and/ or equivalent (SAP, NetSuite etc.)
- 3 or more years of Microsoft Office Project experience
- Experience utilizing Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
